Carpet!

These aren't the best pictures but I thought I would still post them. We got carpet today!!!!!! WOHOO!!! Here's the story.

A week ago Nathan called me and said, "we have a problem, I went to Home Depot and realized that there are only three carpets that are guaranteed to be installed in 72 hours, not all of the in stock carpets are guaranteed." We then rushed around in order to get the carpet in before this Saturday, move in day. We were schedule for net Monday the 13th so we prayed, prayed and prayed some more. We stayed on top of the estimator, the carpet department employees and the installers. We may have called up to 10 times in one day. Today we got a call that an installation had been cancelled and that we could take that spot. SCORE!

Sadly I'm a bit disappointed with it to tell you the truth. We went with brown but it's too dark for me. It clashes when you walk from the master bedroom to the bath... and the kid's rooms wont work at all. So we are probably going to repaint both their rooms. I just hope it'll get better when we add baseboard and furniture. The other paint looks great with it though. Nathan has been saying over and over again, it's hard to pick carpet from a 3inch x 3inch sample just to reassure me that it was a hard decision in the first place.

Here is our laundry room and 1/2 bath tile. Nathan is so proud of all the tiling. Tomorrow we grout the Master Bath.

There's a lot left to do. Clean the house, clean the townhouse, install baseboard, frame the windows, put in hardwood in the dining room/entry, the whole hall bath hasn't even been started, and so on and so on. BUT! We'll be in the house and we'll be a family again. YAY!

We have around six or so people helping us move on Saturday and a friend of mine is putting together a group of women from our church who can help clean next Monday. I have a few friends coming over on Thursday and Friday to help pack and watch Harrison. I'm in awe... We feel so blessed. I prayed that the Lord would rise up an army of friends who could support us in this journey. He has has met our needs beyond expectations!

Once we finish the basement all of you are welcome to stay a night or two! Our home is your home! Our doors are always open!

Goodnight!
