28 Weeks

Well it's officially begun, the final trimester. As of Tuesday I will have 11 weeks left, that is if he comes on his due date which I hear they very seldom do. I can't say that we're more ready today then we were 28 weeks ago. Nathan is doing great. He's always had a pretty great head on his shoulders. I on the other hand, I'm becoming more and more of an emotional wreck every day. I could chose to blame it on the hormones but I think it's much more than that.

Our lives will NEVER be the same. We will no longer be just Nathan and Libby. We'll be Nathan, Libby, and little dude Jones. There will be another person to worry about, another person to care for, another person to love. Our budget looks good, our plans for my working future seems great, the house is looking great but it's just a rollercoaster of emotions. I'm terrified. But my way of coping is to READ MORE BOOKS. So we are reading all the parenting books we can get our hands on.

The Doctor said that starting now I should only feel jabs every now and again and I shouldn't feel many huge movements because he doesn't have much space. Well... Not this little guy! I think he has the energy of his dad because about every two hours I feel like I just got on one of those elevator rollercoaster rides where you lose your stomach... Flips, turns, kicks, jabs. The fun never stops :) I actually enjoy it. It means he's doing well but sometimes it stops me in my tracks.

Here are some more pictures of me, getting larger. Don't worry. Two and a half more months of growth is expected! I officially can't see my feet when I'm standing up straight and looking down. I like to keep moving so I know they're there.

If you could remember please pray for us. Pray for health and safety. Pray that our friends will know what to do with us once this baby is born. Without family here it gets a little scary to think about. Without our friends around we would be pretty lonely. So pray that those relationships continue to grow and flourish no matter the changes that are taking place.

We are flying to Oregon on Thursday to celebrate the fourth of July in Seaside. There is no other place we'd rather be than in Seaside on the fourth. It's amazing! If you've never been, some year you'll have to join us.

Love you all a lot!

Cancun

Nathan and I had a FABULOUS time in Cancun. It was very restful. Our expectations of the resort were blown away. I think the timing was great as well. We didn't go exploring much which was fine by us. Relaxing was just the thing we needed. The water was unbelievable too. Do to the swine flue the resort was maybe at 40% capacity. We never asked but the resort seemed pretty empty for June.

Here are some pictures!

This was the lobby of our resort.
This was the beach and pier right in front of the resort.
This was before snorkeling in Cozumel.
Snorkeling again.
Our typical day filled with relaxation and reading.

This is one of the several pools we had access to.
Our room's living room. We could have stayed here along with 4 other people!
Our bedroom.

So that was the trip!

Love you all!

Almost Finished Baby's Room

With help from a generous giver Nathan and I were able to get almost everything for the baby's room.

Here it is:

We just need to put a few more things on the wall behind the crib as well as get a chair and a changing pad to go on top of the dresser. Then the room will be complete!

As you can tell we decided to go bright. I just can't do pastels.

Love!

Baby's Room Construction

Here are the pics of Nathan putting everything together for the baby's room.

I'm at 25 weeks! Can you believe it?

We are 3 months away! We can't believe it!

Tiny Jones has definitely taken over my body. Now after a long day of shopping (for baby stuff) I have to lay down on the coach with my feet up because my back kills, my legs throb and my feet ache. It's weird! But it's the price you pay when you're carrying around 14 extra pounds (that's how much I've gained. The Doctor says I'm right on track. I probably won't tell you how much I've gained ever again so saver the moment). I'm starting to get a little self conscious so side note to family...

LISTEN FAMILY: when I come to visit no asking if I'm sure it's not twins. No saying I look like I'm going to pop, cause I won't till at least September. And no telling me I'm huge. Just a friendly reminder from the pregnant relative who will cry on a dime.

A few new things. I now squat to pick up things I'v dropped. I believe that I am now waddling a little. And the baby has found his way to my rib cage. He woke me up two nights ago. I wasn't sure why I felt a weird feeling under my right bottom rib and then I realized, I'm carrying a one pound six ounce child. He is also taking over a lot of my thoughts like, do we really like the name we've picked out? How is this breast feeding thing really going to work? What do you do when he cries? How do you change a diaper, hahaha. I didn't do much babysitting growing up. Don't worry, we are reading a ton and I've asked my friends a lot of questions!

So enough writing,  here are some pictures!

Well we are off to Cancun!!!! Yeah!!!! We are taking a little vacation. Sunday to Sunday. We are so excited. It's been five years since we've taken a vacation together outside of visiting family. We've done camping trips and spent a night or two in the mountains but this is different. We are so excited and thankful tot he people who made it possible! We'll post lots of pictures afterwards.

The Office Completed

Here are some pictures of the completely finished and furnished Jones office. While having guests here over the last few days, we've used it as our sleeping quarters. Nathan and I both think it's pretty cozy. Nathan's been getting a lot of work done in there too.

This is the entrance to the office and the front door. Behind me are the stairs into our house.
This is the other side of the office/entry door. We decided to go with a french door to make the space feel open.

This is our garage door. You can see the french door next to it.

We decided to go with an African theme because we have a lot of things still from our trip to Uganda to decorate with and we wanted a room that would inspire us to keep traveling.

Love you all!
