First off: Harrison is now bar free!!!! We converted his bed to a toddler bed after he climbed out yesterday. I was in the room with him tickling him while he tossed around in his bed. Then, he got a sparkle in his eye and wanted to show me his new little trick. One leg up, then the second and out he came, into my arms.
It's been 24 hours and so far he has slept perfectly. He also hasn't gotten out of bed until we've come in his room to get him. He'll just lays there and chats, or sits up and talks for a bit.
Now to the house.
Ever since we moved in people have been asking "so is the house done". Our response, "what's your definition of done?" We've lived in it for a little over three weeks but the house is far from done. We thought we'd share what the house looks like now, as we are fixing it up and living in it.
The kitchen:
It looks much much better now but for the first 5 days we used plywood and didn't have a sink. The dishwasher was also not connected. Now it's fully functional and those boxes are empty.
Here's what it looks like:
The dinning room/entry way:
The tarp is covering the bare floor. This is the room where Nathan will install hardwood. He actually started working on it yesterday since all of the windows are now set with trim (I was getting tired of the moths crawling in and sleeping with us so the windows came right after getting our bathroom and dishwasher up and running).
We preferred to use the table for storage rather than eating...
Here is where we have been enjoying our meals:
Praise the Lord for a COVERED deck! Note the booster seat and tile saw in the background.
This is the family room. The TV case is currently covering the fire. We haven't decided when we'll start working on that project. Most likely after the basement since we hope family will plan to come and see the new baby and stay for at least a few days.
This is the hallway into the rooms. The doors are up but two of them need to be taken back down and trimmed so they don't rub on the carpet. Those are the doors missing handles. They all also need to be painted. My co-worker whose done this a few times has been telling me over and over again, give it a year. We can only get so much done with work, a toddler and any other life we want to live.

The Baby's room. We find out tomorrow whether it's a boy or girl. We just want healthy.
Our room. This was the room to first receive the window trim so that we could put up curtains. I was getting a little tired of trying to hide while dressing.
Lastly, we sadly own enough stuff to fill a whole UHaul Truck, a friend's truck and several cars. We thought we'd share that image with you all.
