Documentation

I decided to write today, just for documentation sake. You see, we use this blog not only to let family and friends know what's going on but also to document how Harrison is developing. I broke down and bought a baby book (I thought I would scrap book, bought everything, have had zilch time to start it) to document everything in but it turns out it's not that great... So, we will continue to document his progress on here and I'm sure you all won't mind :)

We believe that Harrison is NOT teething; he's transitioning. I think I'm figuring it out. I may write this now and regret it tomorrow but I think he's cranky because he's transitioning. Nathan and I are major schedulers. We keep Harrison to a strict eat, play, sleep schedule. The schedule up until this month was made up of three hour increments. But this month we have tried to move him a to a 4 hour schedule and it's been rough. I think that's why he's cranky. There is hope though! This month he has officially moved from a 6am wake up time to a 7am. It's been a blessing! It means we get to sleep in a little longer on the days I don't have to be in the office. Yay!

So, hopefully, he'll work with me on moving him to a four hour schedule, very soon. He has the ability to be up awake longer but it's a delicate balance. If he's up too little or too much his naps are horrible. We are working hard to work with his "window of opportunity" :) You all probably think we are crazy but this is a big deal to us :)

On Sunday Harrison will be dedicated to the Lord at our church. We are excited. In order to prepare we had to send the church a picture and a verse. We sent them John 15:8 "This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples." We pray that Harrison would grow up following the Lord and striving to be more like Jesus every day of his life. We feel this verse encapsulates that. We are also lucky because Nathan's dad is in town this week and will be able to be at the service. He's in town with a friend to have fun in the mountains with Nathan. Today they went ice climbing, tomorrow skiing. Nathan is loving it!

Here are some photos, as always (Mom would kill me if I didn't send some).

He loves his cloth book. Loves it!

This is what our living room looks like everyday.

This is Beck. Harrison and Beck got to hang out last Friday night while his parents got to go on a date! They didn't even phase one another. I don't think either one of them noticed that there was anther baby in the room.

Love, Libby
